We saw this bush in June 2017 somewhere in Laconia in the foothills of Taygetus.
I thought it would be easy to identify but didn't make the attempt until a couple of month ago.
I have been quite unsuccessful .
Does any one know the answer?

Living in Korinthos, Greece.
No garden but two balconies, one facing south and the other north.
Most of my plants are succulents which need little care

Well all I needed to do was turn off the computer and look through my books.
Paliurus spina-christi, Christ's Thorn
Looking at one of the photos closer I could see the thorns
