This was growing in a pot quite near the sea in Gerolimenas. Mani, Peloponnese.
Can anyone put a name to it?

No garden but two balconies, one facing south and the other north.
Most of my plants are succulents which need little care

Hi Hilary,
I once had a plant that I think was
Helichrysum
'Ruby Cluster'. The buds were red and the flowers were white with yellow centres. Even if this is not the exact plant, it might give you a place to start. Mine rotted over the winter :-(

I have a small garden in Rome, Italy. Some open soil, some concrete, some paved. Temperatures in winter occasionally down to 0°C. Summer temperatures up to 40°C in the shade. There are never watering restrictions but, of course, there is little natural water for much of June, July and August.

Many thanks.
It looks like Helichrysum 'Pink Sapphire'
Here is another photo of the plant taken before the sun came round.
Some open flowers can be seen which are white
