You can set the forum to email you about topics you're interested in.
There are two ways of doing this.
First, click the Profile tab on the home screen, then under Modify Profile click on Notifications and Email. Then in the new panel that opens check the box against "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic". Then, any time you post a message on the forum, you'll get an email about any replies.
The second way lets you set the forum to email you about any posts in any subject that interests you, whether or not you post messages about that subject yourself:
Look down the list of message boards on the forum's Home page. Find a subject that you're interested in - say Climbers - and click on that. At the top right of the subject-index screen which then opens is a row of blue tabs. Click on the second one, Notify. Then, any time anyone posts a new message about Climbers, you'll get an email.
You can be even more selective. Instead of clicking on that tab, just click on any individual subjects in that main Climbers board (or any other board). When the subject opens, there's another row of blue tabs, on the right, above the first message. Again, click on the second one, Notify. Then, any time anyone posts a new message about that particular topic, you'll get an email.
