Is this plant an annual or a perennial?
I have only ever grown it in England,  where it behaves as an annual.
Some books and web sites, call it an annual, and some call it a perennial.
Does anybody grow it?

Sally grew it in the MGS garden for a while and I had a plant or two from her because I liked their modest ways, but they didn't really like our conditions and we let them go. It was a perennial.
