Cardopatium corymbosum

Cardopatium corymbosum found close to the shore on sand and waste ground. Some authorities call it Echinops corymbosus We ignore the plant and yet the blue is very intense and very beautiful when the sun is not too bright.

yes - one of my favourite Cyprus weeds, especially when seen growing against a backdrop of straw of some sort, as often it is at the margin between track and field (here near Kathikas, 16jun06).
