Congratulations on your many successes.  I know it needs patience. They look so cool and desirable especially now when we still have hot sun rays 'baking' the earth.
I garden in Cyprus, in a flat old farming field, alt. approx. 30 m asl.

Hi Fermi

Thanks for the tip. I bought some bulbs of 'Minnow' last year and they flowered early this spring. Now it remains to be seen if they have survived what has been a consistently hot summer. I do, though, have a preference for the cylindrical leaves of the jonquilla types that I have. Until they flower you wouldn't suspect that they were narcissus. Look like chives but without the smell.

Fingers crossed :-)
I have a small garden in Rome, Italy. Some open soil, some concrete, some paved. Temperatures in winter occasionally down to 0°C. Summer temperatures up to 40°C in the shade. There are never watering restrictions but, of course, there is little natural water for much of June, July and August.

Just don't add them to your scrambled eggs :-X
I like the jonquilla types as well and have a few of the species as well as many of the hybrids derived from them.

Hi Fermi,
Thanks for the photos and the suggestions. I particularly liked the look of the paperwhites. There are a couple of bulb suppliers who sell at the flower shows I often go to and between them they are offering N, 'Nir' and N. Ziva'. In the photos  Ziva looks slightly more attractive. It has fewer flowers per stem so the form stands out better. Though both plants and flowers are a bit too big for me, I will look out for them. You should be earning commission!

A few of the double forms:
1) from Keira Bulbs simply designated Narcissus KS-talldouble-2-01
2) 'White Lion' and 'Ice King'
3)  a mutation of 'Ice King' with half yellow petaloids
4)  a more typical 'Ice King'
5) 'Modern Art' - not really a double but the cup has been frilled to a major extent!

They are lovely and unusual Fermi.  Nothing like the narcissus of my childhood.  Do they have a scent?

Hi Charithea,
the tazettas have a strong, also pungent scent. Some of the species jonquilla types have a sweet scent. Not sure if many of the standard types have much scent.
This is Narcissus 'Cloth of Gold',
