Wading through the pile of magazines waiting for me on my return from holiday, I find a very tempting article by Louisa Jones in
Country Life for 31 August. It's about a Corfiot village, now the
Rou Estate, sensitively reworked by a British architect as a small holiday estate. A key factor is that MGS stalwarts Jennifer Gay and Piers Goldson have been the garden consultants, and Louisa's article (with its photos by Clive Nichols) makes clear that the plantings would gladden the hearts of any mediterranean-gardening visitors. Certainly a tempting thought for a Corfu holiday....
