We acquired a small plant several years ago and despite its reputation for being invasive in some parts of the world with us it has grown very slowly, perhaps due to a lack of the amount of water it is used to being tropical. This is the first year it has set fruit and now we have to decide when they are ripe enough to eat before trying them for taste.
