Aloe mitriformis glowing in the sunset.
Identified by Oron a couple of years ago.

Living in Korinthos, Greece.
No garden but two balconies, one facing south and the other north.
Most of my plants are succulents which need little care

Aloes really are wonderful. I can see why people get so attached to them despite their spikiness.

Aloes are NOTORIOUS for self pollination and cross pollination with almost blatant self-indulgence, so many garden aloes tend to be hybrids rather than pure species. Alwyn Berger distributed hundreds and hundreds when he was botanist/ Head Gardener at LA MORTOLLA, and gave away many more seeds collected from the rockeries and gardens there. While the plant illustrated shows some similarities to Aloe mitriformis its leaves look too narrow to be considered mitre-like.
