New species?

Not exactly but for a moment I thought it might have been. Then I realised it was a Carpenter bee covered in bright yellow pollen. It could have come from the Tithonia that I am growing but then it wouldn't be on the back. Can't think what else it might have visited with a flower big enough for it to have gone into..
I have a small garden in Rome, Italy. Some open soil, some concrete, some paved. Temperatures in winter occasionally down to 0°C. Summer temperatures up to 40°C in the shade. There are never watering restrictions but, of course, there is little natural water for much of June, July and August.
