plants in municipal beds ID'd by John J as Santolina rosmarinifolia; Perovskia

Both these plants were enjoying the, more or less,  daily rainstorm in Thessaloniki last week.
Can anyone identify them?

Hilary, the top one looks like Santolina rosmarinifolia (S. viridis) and the bottom one looks like a Perovskia.
Cyprus Branch Head. Gardens in a field 40 m above sea level with reasonably fertile clay soil.
