Can anyone please identify the attached?
The seed pods are about 2cm in diameter, like tiny tomatoes in shape, the stem is about 70cm high. There were plenty in the clearings in 70-year-old regenerated pine forest. A kniphofia or Liliacea? I collected 4 of the pods -- are they germinate-able?
Seen yesterday, 24 April 2016, at about 700m altitude, in the mountains behind Malaga, Andalucia.
So many other beautiful wildflowers too, in spite of the dry, dry winter and spring: lavender, salvias, cistus, sweet peas...
