Thanks for that photo John. It does look as though it might be another box substitute. Much needed, as the few plants that escaped the caterpillar last year are under attack this year. I was hoping that they may have had some kind of resistance. I found a supply of tiny Euonymus japonica plants, four to an overgrown pot at a garden centre. They are now potted separately and I will wait til the autumn planting to make sure that they are not vividly variegated.
