Wondered if you could help me with a query I have.  we have a Campsis Grandiflora and I noticed that when it forms its seeds, only one of the flowers on its spray of flowers seems to have been pollinated.  We noticed this also when in African some yeas ago with other similar kinds of plants.  Do you know if there a particular name for this type of plant - just a  passing phase of mine  needing to know something.
Not a very good photo of the seedpod but you'll get the idea of what I am trying to say.
Pete and Jan retired to le Marche, Italy 20 years ago for a quiet,  sunny life.  Gardening here was a challenge, but we now have a wonderful garden, with an eclectric selection of plants,  including many wild  flowers and orchids of which we are found of.
