Red plant ID'd by Pamela herself as Cytinus ruber

Does anyone know what this unusual plant might be?  Found in local garrigue in the Costa Blanca.  Thanks Pamela

I have found the answer...it is Cytinus ruber  a parasitic plant often found on Cistus
