Can somebody please tell me what this is? Some kind of fungi spotted growing through the gravel on our drive.

Umbrian, this looks like a jelly-cup fungus which I find in Toscana. J Th gave it a broad identification as belonging to Pezizales, see March 1 2015 Plant Identification which you can find by clicking here.
