An oddity, Burrageara (Oncidopsis) Nelly Isler
« on: January 23, 2016, 12:25:55 PM »
Around Christmas a friend gave my wife a plant as a gift. It was quite obviously an orchid but of a type that I had never encountered before. The label merely called it a Cambria. On looking this up on the Internet I found that x Cambria is the commercial name for intergeneric hybrids among a select genus of orchids. Further digging showed that this particular plant was a Burrageara (Oncidopsis) Nelly Isler.
Has anyone else come across these plants? ???

Cyprus Branch Head. Gardens in a field 40 m above sea level with reasonably fertile clay soil.
