Succulent in Corinth IDd by Oron as Euphorbia tirucalli
« on: August 17, 2011, 11:34:03 AM »
I saw this growing in a back yard here in Corinth in November last year.
I did try to identify it then but have lost my notes.
The owner told me it did flower but he didn't remember when.
I would like to know if anyone knows what it is, and when should I go looking at it again to see some flowers

The plant is Euphorbia tirucalli,
Flowers are not important, small yellowy.
The milky sap in the plant [when cut], can cause sever dermatitis and if gets to the eye  can cause temporary blindness.

Thanks once more for the quick answer.
If the owner offers me a cutting I will be sure not to rub my eyes.

How dare he say the flowers are not important. I'm sure the Euphorbia doesn't think so.
