Ancient Kleones

The temple of Hercules at Ancient Kleones.
Once you leave the the Moreas Road. in the Peloponnese, Greece, at the interchange 3 marked  Aghios Vassilios and follow the notices for Kleones this small temple is very easy to find.
The remains of the temple, the existence of which has been hidden from me by over 40 years, are hidden among vineyards.
There are abundant brown notices at every turn.
The vines were almost all bare when we were there in early December.
There were plenty of fresh wild plants preparing for their spring flower show.
A row of rather short columns
The ubiquitous fig tree
Lots of moss
A plant growing in a hole in a stone
Strabo apparently said he could see the walls of Kleones from Akrokorinthos
In the last photo, if you look to the left of the hill which features a quarry there is visible another hill in the distance, we decided that that must be Akrokorinthos.

Living in Korinthos, Greece.
No garden but two balconies, one facing south and the other north.
Most of my plants are succulents which need little care
