While wandering the streets of Sparta I came across this old house with its ceramic acrokeramos on the roof and mythical animal
Τhere was a line of  Nerium oleander Πικροδάαφνη in the middle of the road

Those tulbaghias are growing tall - maybe that fat hose line explains it!

I have been told that there are 680 Bitter Orange trees in Sparta.
This Youtube clip shows some of them.

Visit Sparta, Lakonia, Greece in October to see the roses blooming in some of the green strips down the center of the main roads.
Some of the rose bushes appear to be relatively new while others, those bearing red flowers, are tall and strong

Other roads in Sparta boast Canary Island Palms, Phoenix canariensis, and bushes and in the middle of one road there is  a long line of Australian Bottle Bush trees, Callistemon
