Burgeoning. That is a lovely word, isn't it? Although I am having second thoughts about it. Why is it, that every winter and early spring, I forget how much everything grows and start pushing plants into every gap?
You would think that at my age, I would know better.
Now of course, everything is burgeoning all over the place and I am having to rescue small young plants that I only planted a few weeks ago. ???
Why, oh why didn't I prune rose Lady Emma Hamilton back hard in the winter? I would now be able to see the cannas, perovskia and crocosmias behind it.
I know why I didn't. Lady Emma Hamilton flowers throughout winter and I didn't want to lose the flowers. ;D
The cannas are only visible from the side, they can't be seen from the front.

I thought I had pruned rose Teasing Georgia back. So why is she trying to grow over Agave americana variegata now?

The same sort of thing is happening all over. Is it just me?
