Sorry that these photos are not as clear as they could be. They were taken just as dusk was turning to night. Climber growing up a wall and then into the tree above - about 20 ft high. Seen in a Rome street 10 days ago. By coincidence I saw another specimen growing out of a wall today just outside the Rome Rose Garden but didn't have a camera with me to take a photo. Most of the flowers had died back.

I have a small garden in Rome, Italy. Some open soil, some concrete, some paved. Temperatures in winter occasionally down to 0°C. Summer temperatures up to 40°C in the shade. There are never watering restrictions but, of course, there is little natural water for much of June, July and August.
