Dicentra

My daughter posted a tiny piece of Dicentra spectabilis root to me during the winter. It was so tiny and dry, I wasn't going to bother planting it. However, I put it under the orange tree just to give it a chance.
Here it is to-day.

How it will fare in the heat of the summer, I have no idea.
But at least it has a chance.

Good Luck. I think you will need it. I've planted heaps of Dicentra but all have expired after a few years. As Summer growing plants they need Summer rainfall; we don't have that and they seem not to find our tap water palatable!
