This nice shrub was in flowering in September-October in a garden of Nice (France). Its ID was (and is) unknown. Can anyone recognizes it?
I love and viisite gardens on the french and italian coast and i love photography.

Tentatively: Desmodium rotundifolium
Amateur gardener who has gardened in north London and now gardens part of the year on the Cycladic island of Paros. Conditions: coastal, windy, annual rainfall 350mm, temp 0-35 degrees C.

Many thanks, yes it looks very like a Desmodium but perhaps not a D. rotundifolium (which is an herbaceous plant). My plant is a deciduous shrub  much branched, 2 m tall and about 2,5 meters wide. Its autumn bloom makes me think about a Desmodium elegans..
