Terri, is this one of the succulent Senecio sometimes known as Blue Finger plants? The two that come to mind are Senecio mandraliscae and Senecio serpens. They are both from South Africa and are ideally suited to water-wise Mediterranean climate gardens so if yours fits into that category they should be fine.
