Calonyction aculeatum - Ipomea alba
« on: July 27, 2020, 03:32:18 PM »
Due to late maturing, and therefore flowering, of seed raised plants last year I decided to try to overwinter the largest plant. Luckily we had a mild winter and I was successful and am now enjoying the first amazing flowers with many more to come. Even a short but violent storm with hail did not deter the first flower from opening. The scent is amazing although the plant has climbed quite high and I am unable to appreciate it as close as I would like.
