Callistemon 'Little John' is another reccomended cultivar from Australia, it starts to bloom at the moment, flowers are the deepest Burgundy color [very different from other bright red Buttlebrush] .
This dwarf and compact cultivar grows to about 1.2m [takes it 6-9 years to reach this size] and is drought and wind resistent but it dislikes white lime soils.
