Very hot July lacks colour for us.

Our garden seems to have very little colour this hot sultry July, but when I look I find ........... A few red Hibiscus, Salvia canariensis, S.blepharophylla,  Agapanthus, Russellia, Leonotis leonurus, Jatropha integerrima, Buddleia davidii, Plectanthrus argentatus, Lantana camara, Brugmansia x insignis, Perovskia atriplicifolia, Tulbaghia violacea ‘Alba’, Gaura lindheimeri, Nepeta tuberosa, Stephanotis floribunda, Campsis x tagliabuana ‘Madam Galen’, Dicliptera sericea (syn. D. suberecta)
and of course Plumbago in pale blue, dark blue and white. They are not lush...bits of colour here and there ! But mostly its dry and green.
Of course our Bougainvillea and the Jasminum officinale mix are another story!

Marvellous how you've managed such a "cool" look in that sultry heat, Pamela!

The Bouganvilleas and Oleanders are absolutely spectacular here in on Ibiza.  We have had very little rain since New year.  It never ceased to amaze me how these plants flourish in the harsh heat of summer.
Now gardening in Ibiza, Balearics having moved last year from Queensland, Australia.  Mediterranean gardening is my challenge now, there is such a lot to learn, but it is lots of fun.
