Autumn Bounty

A certain type of wasp was making the most of the grapes on my Vitis vinifera "Purpurea the other sunny afternoon. Attracted by the noise they were making I was amazed to see some bunches of the fast rotting grapes almost completely covered in wasps. Taking great care I managed to get a photograph without being stung. :)
This is a most worthwhile plant by the way, interestingly shaped young foliage turning from a very soft, fresh green to a more bluey/grey green and then to a darker green with maroon undertones. In the autumn the foliage changes yet again with varying hues from red through to a deep purpley/maroon with bunches of small black grapes hanging in between. :)
