Thanks for that, Alice. I've looked at their helpful website, and on the strength of your recommendation will add them to our suppliers list.

This is the first time I have used them, Alisdair. They seemed very friendly and helpful. I will keep the forum informed as to how the shipment turns out.

I know Christine and Nick very well..they are good friends and I have seen their beautiful garden develop from agricultural land since the very beginning. Its amazing what they have done.  They not only grow and sell Iris but you can also visit the garden in April/May. They have a wonderful collection of salvias, roses, South African bulbs among many other interesting plants.  The garden survives on rain water (except for the babies) and plants just have to survive.  They are MGS members and as such have been visited a number of times by members.   A real plantswoman!

Shipment arrived from the above nursery in about 3 weeks from posting (normal Greek island postal service) in good condition and well labelled. We have planted the irises and they are now putting on new leaves.
I would definitely use this nursery again, especially since they send out rhizomes at this time of year. Rhizomes (as well as many other geophytes) bought in the UK become available at the wrong time for Mediterranean gardeners.
