Title: Dianthus knappii
Post by: John on July 13, 2011, 11:20:29 AM
Native to the Balkans but presumably not Greece. This is said to be the only yellow species of Dainthus and was used in producing the huge range of colours in the cultivated pinks and carnations. The flowers are quite small but produced over quite a long period. I don't recall it being scented and I'm sure it isn't or has only a poor scent. It grows well in the UK in free draining ground or pots.
