Title: Dianthus turkestanicus 'Patricia Bell'

Though this plants comes from the drier regions of Asia I suspect that it would grow well in the colder parts of the Med. I grew a few seeds from I think the Hardy Plants Society about 30 years ago and one came up double. I named it after my landlady who I lived with whilst a student at Kew. It is still going strong and is easy to propagate. The scent is fantastic though the flowering period is fairly short.
