Title: Petromarula pinnata
Post by: John on July 09, 2011, 12:05:33 AM
I had thought that this plant may prove to be quite hardy especially if selected from the right provenance. For some time this has grown well outside at the Chelsea Physic Garden but this year it was also obviously very happy on the rockery at Kew as photographed here. This is the typical colour form which is quite a dull colour but it can also be quite vibrant compared to this or even white.

It was blooming for the 1st time in the Jeruslaem botanical gardens this year. A joy of 5 weeks, lets see how long it will survive.
