Title: Papaver dubium
Post by: John on July 07, 2011, 09:02:45 AM
When I was staying at Brian Constables in Catalonia I spend a bit of time photographing the flowers in his garden. Very early on whilst they were covered in dew they were quite still which allowed me to photograph this poppy which I believe is not an uncommon colour variant.

I saw quite a few wild P. dubium in Greece in late April in the Kilkis prefecture, I have never before seen white ones before. These did not have the dark spots at the base of the petals, but they were beautiful as well.
