Title: Does anybody grow Pimella ferruginea?
Post by: David Dickinson on December 10, 2018, 02:08:12 AM
It looks like a plant I have seen before but in reality it can't be as I have not found it sold locally. I bought 5 small plants at a very low price on the internet which would suggest it is a common plant in Italy. I found very few places selling them in Europe even through mail order though. Does it go by another commercial name or a synonym? Synonyms do not come up when searching the internet. Any tips on how to help it survive would be gratefully received.

At the MGS AGM in Adelaide a few years ago we saw Pimelea ferruginea growing in several gardens, apparently with no special treatment. Much the best form we saw was a selection named 'Bonne Petite' (in the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne), so you may be able to find it under that name?

Thanks for that help Alisdair. I'll look it up. :)
