Someone posted a photo of their unsuccessful fig tree today
Now I can't find that post
However, I thought I would send the photo I took this morning of the fig tree trying to destroy the block of flats.
Also tell you the story of my friend and her beautiful fig tree which produces dozens of figs each summer and gives deep shade to her back garden.
They had trouble several years ago with the ever overflowing pipe leading to the septic tank.
In the end her husband decided to fix the problem himself.
The whole pipe was blocked with a thick root from their fig tree!
Take care where you plant fig trees.
