These photos are of plants we saw in the Holy Land in 2000. Pre digital camera.
I think I have identified a couple but leave them anonymous here for the experts to
have their say

Hilary, I hope someone identifies the first photo as I would also love to know it.
It looks identical to an unknown plant that has seeded itself in my garden this year.
Mine has slightly succulent, scented leaves.
The second photo looks like a limonium. I will leave it to others, to say which one, as I don't know them enough yet. ::)
I don't know the others.

No. 2 : Limonium perezii
No. 3: Tipuana tipu
No. 4 : Oenothera drummondii

Here is your one of the Scaevola, turned back right way up (incidentally, this apparently has a couple of synonyms - Lobelia crassifolia, and Merkusia crassifolia - but I don't think either of those is in common use anywhere).
