Title: Oak apples
Post by: Pauline on September 29, 2015, 06:40:08 PM
Sorry about the lousy picture quality - I really must haul myself back to this tree with a decent camera in hand. These are really colourful Oak galls, and really rather creepy with those white protuberances. Can't find anything via Google except an unexplained stock photo. Does anyone know exactly what they are and which insect is involved?
