Title: Isoplexis canariensis

I have raised some plants of Isoplexis canariensis and now in 150mm pots here in Tasmania.How frost tolerant is this plant, we can often have frosts of minus 3 and 4C with occasional minus 5C rarely down to 6C but not often . I do have a structure in which I grow Clivia if needing protection or a shadehouse under tall Eucalyptus which would give some protection as well.

Gordon, it sounds as if it would be touch and go for you. San Marcos Growers in California (very good people) say that they've found it OK down to about -2 deg C. If you've a sheltered spot for it, I think it would be well worth trying it outside, as otherwise your climate should suit it really well - not so different from Tenerife's.
