Title: Diphylleia grayi - off topic as not Mediterranean - but I just had to share!

Diphylleia grayi (Skeleton flower)
The petals are normally white, but turn transparent with the rain - like ice. Amazing!

Perhaps surprisingly, it also has blue berries.
