Title: Morocco trees ID'd by Pamela as Dombeya pulchra
Post by: Charithea on August 15, 2014, 11:39:03 AM
Can somebody's please identify the trees below. The pics were taken in March this year in Chellah Rabat. The pic is not very clear because I had to take it upside down.

I have found a couple of photos that I took that may be a little clearer.

Two years ago I asked for help to identify two flowering trees seen in The Chellah Garden Rabat. The Dombeya pulchra was easily identified by Pamela, thank you again,  but the second remained a mystery for me until today when  I was reading the articles in the TMG (arrived this morning). Thank you Fleur Pavlides for the article 'Garden gem in a country town' and the name of the bush which is called Montanoa grandiflora. I am looking forward to this year AGM to see old friends and to collect some seeds of the plant and of course see the Salvias.
