Title: Oxygenating plants
Post by: Daisy on June 25, 2014, 11:45:02 AM
I have used oxygenating plants in all my ponds over the years, but this year is the first time I have seen them flower.

When I saw the first flowers in April, I thought it was the plum blossom that had dropped into the pond. When I couldn't scoop it out with the net, I looked closer and saw that it was the oxygenating weed flowering.
It is either Elodea densa or crispa. I am not sure which.

Oddly enough I've had this oxygenator flower in my half-barrel in Brussels - such a nice surprise. :)
