Title: Columnar Fruit Trees

I was reminded about these at RHS Chelsea this year.  Does anyone have experience of growing these in Med climate?  I read that apples might not be a great choice in terms of taste.  Also, a recommendation for a supplier would be very useful.

Duncan try Botanic at Avignon or Graines Baumaux.....buy their catalogue, not their on line-one.
