Fritillaria ID'd by Ron Mudd as Fritillaria affinis

Fritillaria ID'd by Ron Mudd as Fritillaria affinis

I've been growing this fritillaria in pots, under glass and given completely dry summers, but have no idea which species it is. (I got the seed more than 20 years ago from the AGS labelled Fritillaria pudica, which it is not!) It grows about one foot high.

It shows Fritillaria crassifolia ssp. hakkarensis.  Do you think this may be it ?

. . . you saw me standing alone  :)    That aside, I visit the Med and of course cannot resist being interested in the plants I see.  This forum may expand my knowledge.  It is surprising what you can get away with growing in NW England.

Thanks for that interesting suggestion, Luna Azul. In fact Ron Mudd the fritillaria specialist has now kindly told me that the plant is Fritillaria affinis - thanks, Ron!
