I still have many posts to make re Roses in Rome Rose Garden and the new annual rose competition is already upon us. The main competition was held 18th May.
Here is the next rose still remaining from my original visit in October last year. Salut à Luxembourg.

I have a small garden in Rome, Italy. Some open soil, some concrete, some paved. Temperatures in winter occasionally down to 0°C. Summer temperatures up to 40°C in the shade. There are never watering restrictions but, of course, there is little natural water for much of June, July and August.

No garden but two balconies, one facing south and the other north.

Thanks Hilary.
Here is another before I disappear for a couple of days. Have to go to The UK.
This rose is called 'Sara'. Doing a search on "Help me find" threw up several possibilities but the label in the Rose Garden referred to 'Alberici' so I am presuming it is this rose

'Schone vom See' which presumably was in one of its more faded colours in Rome. Some more photos here showing the full range of colour variation

'Silver Ghost' is more my kind of rose. Natural looking. All the roses I have in my small garden were already there or I have taken cuttings from clippings thrown out by others. In the latter case I have not known what flower type they were until a year or two later.
https://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=2.40722.2&tab=1
PS I wanted to use the word "prunings" instead of clippings but it seems I am trying to reinvent the English laguage. (Wouldn't be the first time!). For me "clippings" and "trimmings" refer to the tips of twigs whereas "prunings" are thicker and more suitable for using as cutting material. "Pruning" seems to exist only as a concept noun. Is it only me, or the folk around Leeds, who refer to "prunings" in the sense I intend, that is as a countable noun?

As you will understand from my previous posting in this thread 'Simply the Best' isn't the most aptly named rose for my tastes.
https://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=2.34966&tab=1
It seems to be a lot darker when the flowers are fresh than in my photo.

Appropriately named 'Summer Joy' for today. It appears there are two roses that go under this name. One similar to that I photographed in Rome Rose Garden here
https://www.fond-ecran-image.com/galerie-membre,fleur-rose,rose-summer-joy-coloma-17e31-fei-3643jpg.php
and a second, double pink one, here

Oh dear! 'Summer Joy' is immediately followed by 'Summer Memories'. I would have sworn that summer had only just started. Having said that, it is an undeniable fact that the days are now getting shorter again. There is more information and more photos about 'Summer Memories' here
