Autumn

I thought there was a thread for Autumn but I couldn't find it. Since we don't see much of Autumn here in Corinth I would love to see photos of   how you experience Autumn in other Mediterranean areas.
That being said i will now post a piece I wrote about Pyracantha coccinea

Autumn colours
Pyracantha coccinea, Scarlet firethorn
A plant omnipresent here in Greece just now
Pyracanthas are planted on the verges of the National Roads, in municipal plantings and in gardens and are providing some lovely autumn colour where everything is green, green, green., Not that I don’t like green but I could do with a bit more obvious autumn colours.
This Pyracantha was hanging over a garden wall in Mystras, Peloponnese, very helpfully posed at eye level, a week or so ago.

Pyracantha are mentioned in several issues of
THE MEDITERRANEAN GARDEN, mostly in lists of useful plants to have .
Today I am recommending that you read

Living in Korinthos, Greece.
No garden but two balconies, one facing south and the other north.
Most of my plants are succulents which need little care
