We saw this in March 2009 at Mapsos, an inland area, which is surrounded by pine forest, not far from Corinth.
This was growing out of a vertical rock at eye level.
Any ideas?

it might be Neatostema apulum

My first thoght was Alkanna lutea but i think it is not reported from Greece, its distribution is from Spain to Italy.
Therefore it might well be the similar Alkanna orientalis.
A photo of the whole plant would be helpfull for a difinitive ID.

Hi, yes I would at first glance say that I agree with Oron. Alkanna orientalis, which seems to have the same undulate leaf which is grey.

Oron, John and "The Cypriot"
Many thanks for the identification.
My son found a list of plants on Akrokorinthos, which is not far from Mapsos,
Alkanna orientalis is listed but not Alkanna lutea.
I am going with A.o.
