new home for cacti
« on: November 05, 2015, 02:57:58 PM »
Hey guys!

I have to move from Round Rock, Texas to Houston. Here at home I have a collection of cacti. I can not leave them here, so I need any creative advice about the transportation. How to wrap them carefully and avoid damages?

thanks..

Layers and layers of slightly crumpled old newsprint are pretty good, Barbara. Cacti do transport pretty well.

Thanks Alisdair

I have some bubble wrap in my garage. I think, that it can be used during the transportation. I will just wrap the plants with the pots.
To provide the cacti with good ventilation, I will put them in a plastic box. I have this bin https://www.mrosupply.com/material-handling/storage-bins-accessories/2542043_1102571_lewis-bins/

I hope, they will “survive” the move.  :)
