Bulbs require slightly different care than potted flowers. Everything needed to create a stunning plant lies within the round shaped bulb or tuber. Spring blooming bulbs tend to be round in shape while summer flowering bulbs have irregular, elongated shapes. Bulbs require enriched soil and plenty of sunlight to thrive. Mix additives such as humus and compost into the soil of your garden bed before planting either type of bulb. Make sure the sun reaches your plants for at least 6 hours each day to encourage vibrant blooms and healthy spreading of the flowers.
