THE VILLA WHITAKER, MALFITANO SICILY
By Marcelo Cascino
A description of the mansion and extensive gardens.

Apparently, the Villa is now known by the name Villa Malfitano.

The drawings to illustrate this garden are by John Jefferis.

I am including a scan of a postage stamp issued by Spain in 1973 featuring a Canary Island Palm, Phoenix canariensis

No garden but two balconies, one facing south and the other north.
Most of my plants are succulents which need little care

DRAGON’S BLOOD TREE
By D. E. Symon
I quote
‘A silhouette of a Dragon's Blood tree forms the logo for the Waite Arboretum and a silver brooch in the same form is available, both designed by the artist Beth Chandler and based on the impressive specimen in the Arboretum.’
The drawing illustrating this article is of the logo of the Waite Arboretum, designed by Beth Chandler
I am also including a postage stamp issued by Spain in 1973 depicting a Dragon's Blood Tree, Dracaena draco.
